Various of these options were tried but none of which helped to solve the problem or speak to someone at yahoo…. continually going round in help circles then receive this message…

Uh-oh…

We can’t recover your account online because there are no other options on file for your account.

There is a subscription for €4.99 per month which claims to have 24/7 support with a real person and states no problem is too hard for them to deal with… When looked into you can only subscribe to this subscription if you have access to your email account… And the phone number given I could not ring from my Spanish mobile or a voip call using any area code I could think of!

So continually going around and around in circles, coming back to the help section. Yahoo have a text at the bottom of one of the help pages I eventually came to

Still can’t get signed in? If you’re unable to use the Sign-in Helper to get into your account because your recovery info is wrong or inaccessible, you won’t be able to regain access to your account again. You’re always welcome to sign up for a new account, but just make sure to keep your new account’s recovery info up-to-date.”

So after hours and hours of trying to get back into the emails and trying to just communicate with anyone from Yahoo.

I called the old phone number that the verification codes were being sent to. Luckily when I spoke to the person on the phone he was very happy to help because, he had been receiving daily verification codes from Yahoo for the account because I had been continuously trying to gain access… He was happy to wait on the phone line whilst I went through the process again and he told me the activation code.. I apologised for all the messages he had been receiving and thanked him very much.

As soon as access was gained. A recovery email was added that I have access to… then the new recovery phone number, then the old number was deleted so that lovely person who helped would no longer receive any more yahoo sms verification codes.
